Qualifications Include:
Must have State of Kansas Certification over 100 Knowledge of High Quality Early Childhood Educational Programs and practical awareness of how they operate Thorough knowledge of KDHE regulations regarding childcare centers Ability to lead a staff of professional team members Understanding of Marketing and growing a business Has strong communication skills: Verbal and written Detail Oriented Ability to recruit, hire, and train potential team members Ability to recruit, tour, build rapport, and enroll new families Knowledge of children's physical, emotional, and development patterns Evidence of emotional maturity and stability Professional in appearance and demeanor Computer skills,

Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Program Director to lead our child care center with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and create a warm, engaging environment where children can thrive. Your leadership will inspire staff, foster positive parent relationships, and promote best practices in early childhood education. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while advancing your career in childcare management. Duties Provide strong leadership and supervision to teaching staff, ensuring high-quality classroom management and child supervision. Oversee daily center operations, including enrollment, scheduling, and maintaining a safe, clean environment aligned with licensing standards. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development, early learning, and social-emotional growth. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements such as pediatric first aid. Communicate regularly with parents about their children's progress, behavior management strategies, and center activities to foster positive relationships. Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices. Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, incident reports, licensing documentation, and staff certifications. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities. Strong classroom experience in daycare or early childhood education settings with demonstrated classroom management skills. Knowledge of childhood development instruction methods and behavior management techniques. Certifications in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and mandated reporting laws are required; ongoing training preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. $48,300.00 - $65,000.00 per year
