Job Description
A busy Brighton family is searching for an afterschool nanny to begin September 8th (with flexibility for a September 14th start)! Though this is a 3-child household, one parent is the primary caregiver for the two older siblings (12 and 14), so this role is focused on care, transportation, and activities for the youngest child, an almost 9 year old boy. The schedule for this position can be M-Th 4pm-8:30pm for a guarantee of 20 hours/week OR M-F 4pm-8:30pm for a guarantee of 25 hours/week. A typical day involves school pick up at 4:10pm, driving to/from extracurricular activities, homework supervision, active play, and managing the evening/bedtime routine, including end of day tidying. Dinner preparation is a collaborative effort with mom as the primary menu planner, using simple family recipes for the caregiver to prepare certain nights of the week. Household laundry can be incorporated into the role if candidate is interested in additional hours. Best matches for this family are kind and engaging, yet able to set firm boundaries when needed. Those with calm energy and patience will be the ideal fit. The family is open to a long-term or a school-year only commitment.
