Accrued sick time, paid time off, and heal insurance A warm and active family in Boxford, MA is seeking a reliable, energetic Full-Time Nanny/House Manager to care for their two boys, ages 4 and 6. One child attends preschool, while the other is in kindergarten. The family lives on a spacious property with plenty of room for the children to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Their home is also shared with three dogs, one cat, and chickens , so an animal lover who enjoys being around pets is a must! This is a true nanny/household manager position . In addition to providing excellent care for the boys, the family is looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a household running smoothly. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to independently identify and complete tasks that need to be done. A Screen-Free Environment The family has a no-screen-time philosophy for the children . There is no TV, iPad, iPhone, or video-game use during the nanny's time with the boys. The family values active, hands-on engagement and expects the nanny to be present and engaged. Typical Schedule Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM-12:00

Household management — laundry, vacuuming, tidying/organizing, errands, grocery/household shopping, meal prep, and other tasks that help keep the household running smoothly 12:00-3:00
PM:
Preschool pickup and engaging, screen-free play with the preschooler 3:00-5:00
PM:
Kindergarten pickup and active play with both boys Friday 9:00 AM-3:00
PM:
Full day with the preschooler (no school), including age-appropriate activities and outings 3:00-5:00

Kindergarten pickup and play with both boys Kindergarten has an early release at approximately 11:00 AM every other Friday. There will also be occasional days when the grandparents pick the boys up from school . On these days, the nanny will have a full day dedicated to household management and organization. Toy sorting, decluttering, and organization projects will be an important part of this time, and the nanny should be comfortable independently identifying projects and keeping productive without constant direction. During summer, school vacations, and school closures , the schedule will shift to a full day of childcare for both boys , with a focus on active, screen-free activities and outings. Responsibilities Childcare Provide attentive, engaging, and nurturing care for two boys, ages 4 and 6 Safely drive the children to and from school, activities, appointments, and outings Plan and participate in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities Encourage active play, outdoor exploration, and creative adventures Keep the boys engaged without relying on screens or electronic devices Provide consistent guidance, clear boundaries, and age-appropriate expectations Activities might include tag, hide-and-seek, mud kitchen play, hiking, biking, visiting local farms and parks, sledding, building snowmen, library visits, and other outdoor adventures. Household Management Household management is an important and substantial part of this position. There will be a minimum of 12 hours per week dedicated to household responsibilities , and the nanny should be proactive and able to independently identify what needs to be done.
Responsibilities may include:
Children's and family laundry Vacuuming and general tidying Organizing children's rooms, toys, play areas, and common spaces Toy sorting, decluttering, and organization projects Meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation Household and family shopping Running errands Basic care for dogs and cat Keeping household supplies organized and stocked Other appropriate household organization and management tasks About the Family & Children The boys are energetic, active, playful, and curious . They love being outdoors and have plenty of space to run, play, and explore. The ideal nanny will be confident, patient, consistent, and energetic , with the ability to keep up with two active boys while providing structure and clear expectations. The family is looking for someone who is comfortable with a rural environment, outdoor play, dirt, and adventure —someone who won't hesitate to get outside, get a little messy, and have fun alongside the children. Pets The family has three dogs and one cat , and comfort around animals is essential. Two older Lab mixes who are friendly and easygoing One Bernese Mountain Dog who is friendly and recently turned one One cat Basic pet care may occasionally be part of the role, but no chicken care is required! Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required Comfortable and experienced driving children Previous experience caring for young, active children Strong household management and organizational skills Adept at independently identifying and completing household tasks Experience with laundry, tidying, shopping, errands, and household organization Willing and comfortable with providing basic pet care Reliable, responsible, confident, and safety-conscious Comfortable working in a rural setting Enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle Comfortable working in a screen-free environment Willing to keep personal phone use limited while working Looking for a long-term commitment Fully vaccinated CPR/first aid certified The Ideal Candidate The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted, consistent, and valued part of their household ideally for at least two years. The right person will genuinely enjoy spending time with children, isn't afraid of the outdoors, and takes genuine pride in household management . They are proactive, organized, energetic, and comfortable looking around and saying, "I see what needs to be done," without waiting to be told. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining active childcare with meaningful household management and who wants to build a long-term relationship with a family and grow alongside the children for the next couple of years.
