Job Description
Overview A warm, kind, and respectful family is seeking an experienced, engaging, and dependable nanny to care for our two children—a toddler (2½ years old) and an infant (4 months old). We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, brings positive energy to each day, and is excited to become an important part of our family's routine.
Our ideal candidate is nurturing, proactive, organized, and confident caring for both infants and toddlers simultaneously. We are hoping to find someone who values creating a fun, enriching, and loving environment while supporting each child's developmental milestones. Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving, and safety-focused care for both children throughout the day Follow and maintain age-appropriate routines for naps, feeding, diapering, hygiene, and daily schedules Plan and engage the children in creative, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, music, sensory play, crafts, outdoor play, and imaginative play Encourage learning, independence, curiosity, and positive social development through meaningful daily interactions Plan and accompany the children to age-appropriate outings and activities, such as parks, libraries, story time, classes, and neighborhood walks Prepare and serve healthy meals, bottles, and snacks for the children, and clean up after meals Wash, fold, and organize the children's laundry Keep the children's bedrooms, play areas, nursery, and other shared spaces tidy and well organized throughout the day Maintain cleanliness of bottles, feeding supplies, toys, and other children's items Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules, developmental milestones, and daily activities Work collaboratively with a work-from-home mother, maintaining open communication while being comfortable taking initiative and managing the children's day independently Qualifications Warm, patient, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about caring for young children Experience caring for both infants and toddlers at the same time Creative, engaging, and enthusiastic about planning enriching activities Calm, dependable, and proactive with excellent judgment Highly organized and attentive to detail Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Reliable, punctual, and looking for a long-term position with one family Requirements Prior professional experience caring for infants and toddlers CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting) Legally authorized to work in the United States Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation Reside within a reasonable daily commuting distance of Baltimore, Maryland Excellent references from previous families Salary and Benefits $30-40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
