Job Description

Are you a passionate Early Childhood Educator? Are you a good mentor? Resilient and adaptable? Hardworking and dedicated? Bright Eyes Early Learning Center is currently seeking an energetic, caring, leader to direct at our program located adjacent. Our program provides quality care for children ages 12 months through age 12.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Handling day-to-day operations, maintain licensing regulations and Bright Eyes policies and philosophies.
  • Guiding staff in professional development and trainings.
  • Handling payments, enrollments, and records of new and existing families.
  • Planning family and community events.
  • Maintaining a strong and professional relationship with Glen Haven Elementary school staff and management teams.
  • Maintain staff scheduling and team meetings.
  • Maintain supervision and safety of all children and staff.
  • Maintain MSDE Accreditation and
MD EXCELS
ratings.
Director requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's Degree in ECE
  • Must complete an employee physical and TB test
  • Must complete fingerprinting and pass a criminal background check
  • Must have or complete CPR & First Aid certification within 60 days or hire.
  • Continued training of 12
  • clock hours per year.
  • Be flexible and work well in fast-paced environments.
  • Kind, caring, and considerate to children, staff, and families.
  • Be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday and some weekends.
Training Requirements:
  • 9•clock hours•communication training • 3•Semester hours or 45 hours•Administrative training or equivalent • 3•clock hours•ADA Training • 90•clock hours•or 6 completed semester, or equivalent in Child Development or hold a Child Development Associates degree or equivalent.
  • Basic health and safety training
  • 3•clock hours of Infant/Toddler training • Supporting breastfeeding Training • Medication training
