Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with a high degree of flexibility
Start Date:
September 1, 2026 Position Overview A family in Stevenson, Maryland is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and proactive Nanny / Family Assistant to provide loving infant care and support the smooth running of the household. The child will be approximately 10 weeks old at the start of the position, and the role centers on attentive, developmentally appropriate newborn care alongside light family assistant responsibilities. The role includes occasional schedule flexibility, such as weekend support with advance notice or accompanying the family on domestic travel (approximately two weeks per year, to the New Jersey shore or Ocean City, Maryland). When the nanny does not travel with the family, hours remain guaranteed and shift toward family assistant duties and household projects. A family vehicle is provided for on-the-job driving, with parking available. The household has no pets, dietary restrictions, or food allergies. Benefits 2 paid weeks vacation days 5 paid sick days 6 paid major holidays Annual discretionary bonus Healthcare stipend Rental stipend Responsibilities Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the infant Establishing nurturing daily routines Bottle cleaning and sanitizing Meal preparation for the child as they grow Children's laundry and seasonal clothing organization Supporting the child's developmental milestones Light home tidying and organization Kitchen tidying Household inventory management Grocery shopping and meal planning Taking out the garbage Running occasional household errands Accompanying the family on domestic travel (approximately two weeks per year) Requirements Prior professional nanny experience Extensive newborn and infant care experience Strong understanding of infant development and developmental milestones Warm, nurturing, patient, and dependable personality Flexible and adaptable approach Comfortable supporting a household with light family assistant responsibilities Strong communication skills and professionalism Valid driver's license Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Must be able to provide 3-5 professional references.
