About the Position Muslim Nannies is seeking an energetic, engaging, and dependable Part-Time After-School Nanny on behalf of a warm, organized family in Potomac, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys building meaningful relationships with school-aged children, creating enriching after-school experiences, and becoming a trusted extension of the family. The family is seeking someone who supports positive routines and creates a calm, fun, and structured environment where children feel encouraged, supported, and engaged. The family has three children (10 months, 6 years, and 9 years old). This role focuses primarily on supporting the family's after-school and evening routine, caring for the two school-aged boys while also assisting with the family's 10-month-old as needed. The nanny will work collaboratively with the family's daytime nanny to ensure consistency and a smooth transition each afternoon. This position is one of two nanny roles within the home, intentionally designed to provide exceptional care for the children while promoting a healthy work-life balance for each caregiver. Schedule Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM-7:00 PM | Guaranteed 20 Hours Per Week Compensation $30-$35 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications) W-2 Household Employee Benefits Guaranteed Hours Paid Federal Holidays Paid Vacation Paid Sick Leave Annual Holiday Bonus Mileage Reimbursement (when applicable) Responsibilities Childcare Pick up the children from school using the family's vehicle. Supervise and support the afternoon and evening routine. Provide attentive care for the family's 10-month-old as needed while supporting the older children. Prepare healthy snacks and dinner for the children. Assist with homework and online learning as needed. Plan enriching after-school activities including outdoor play, games, crafts, reading, and creative learning experiences. Encourage independence while providing patient guidance and support. Help maintain consistent routines that foster confidence, responsibility, and positive behavior. Communicate with parents regarding the children's day and evening routines.
Household Support Responsibilities may include:
Children's laundry Packing school lunches for the following day Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas organized Light tidying related to the children and shared family spaces Assisting with occasional errands Helping prepare for the following school day Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who sees this role as more than a job, someone who takes pride in creating a calm, supportive after-school environment, anticipates needs without being asked, and is excited to become a valued member of the family's support system.
