Job Description

Child Development Assistant (Part-Time)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.•1:30 p.m. Friday, 8:00 a.m.•12:00 p.m. (24 hours/week)
Location:
Family Support Center•Westminster, MD Make a Difference Every Morning Join our Family Support Center team and help create a safe, nurturing space for young children and their families. This hands-on role supports early childhood development through engaging activities, screenings, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide childcare and lead parent-child activities Conduct developmental screenings and maintain observation records Support families during field trips and model positive child interactions Maintain a clean, safe environment (laundry, dishes, toy sanitation, etc.) Prepare snacks and assist with mealtime routines Participate in staff meetings, training, outreach, and recruitment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of experience working with young children 90-hour child development certificate preferred Strong communication skills and a warm, nurturing demeanor Comfortable using technology and working both independently and as part of a team Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and automobile insurance (proof required at hire and annually) Ability to lift children (up to 50 lbs) and move easily in a child-centered environment Must pass a criminal background check Ready to support families and help children thrive?
