Job Description

Holy Spirit Catholic School in Brighton, MI, is accepting applications for a faith-filled, part-time Lunch & Recess Lead for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, hourly position runs late August-early June, Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
Job Description:
The Lunch & Recess Lead, in collaboration with parents and school staff, provides support for students including, but not limited to: lunchroom preparation, lunch and recess supervision, cleaning of the lunch tables and Activity Center, and lunchroom/playground duties. The primary task of this role is the safety and well-being of all students. Candidates must be at least 19 years old with a high school diploma, preferably with childcare experience and must be dependable, responsible, collaborative, and have a passion for working with children from kindergarten through eighth grade. The Lead will engage with the children, as well as parents and other staff members to provide a safe and active environment for the children to play and develop a healthy lifestyle. They will do so under the direction of the principal and will carry out the expectations of the school. Holy Spirit School follows the State of Michigan licensing requirements. The position is part-time. The following items are general expectations for this role: Be a positive representative of the school and the faith community. Enforce lunchroom and playground rules. Discipline when needed. Properly clean and sanitize the tables and floors. Follow confidentiality requirements regarding children and families. Complete background check, CPR/First Aid Training, Virtus Protecting God's Children certification, and any other training as required by State of Michigan Licensing.
