Requirements:

High School diploma or GED, be at least 19 years of age Be willing to complete a minimum of 16 hours of professional development.

Qualifications:

Experience working with pre-school children Certification of CPR and First Aid Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to apply common sense understanding and learned skills while interacting with students and adults Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Child Care Aide to join our team as part of the Great Start Readiness Program. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support early childhood education by assisting in classroom activities, supervising children, and collaborating with teachers to create a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young children and dedicated to promoting their social, emotional, and educational development. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities focused on literacy, math, and social skills. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and create a respectful learning atmosphere. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational experience. Help maintain compliance with educational regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and other relevant policies. Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for children. Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized plans and providing mentoring as needed. Experience Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom behavior management strategies. Experience collaborating with teachers and communicating effectively with parents. Familiarity with early childhood education standards, including those related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Ability to supervise children safely while engaging them in meaningful activities. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
