Job Description

Status:
Non-Exempt/Hourly Schedule:
Part-time less than 20-25 hours per week or sub as needed Education and Training Connection , located in Midland County, is currently in search of a Before and After School Child Care Aide for the Bullock Creek Before and After School Program.
Summary:
Before and After School Child Care Aide will assist the Lead Teacher/Director in organizing and leading activities of children grades K-5 in classroom/gymnasium setting and during outside activities before and after school at Bullock Creek Elementary School.
Education:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer at least one year of Child Development classes and must be 18 years of age or older. CPR/First Aid Certified Preferred.
Qualifications, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following: Organizes and participates in games, reads to children, and teaches children creative arts skills such as simple painting, drawing, homework, songs, and similar activities. Follows lesson plans by teacher for reading, writing, arts, games or social skills activities. Takes children outside for large motor play. Helps children develop habits of caring for own clothing and picking up and putting away toys, books & supplies. Maintains discipline using positive methods. Helps with preparation and serving of afternoon snack. Includes cleaning up after snack is served. Assists with cleanup of classroom by using the daily check list that is in the classroom (including: sanitizing toys, tables, chairs etc.) Communicates and provides a level of customer service to parents of enrolled children. Attends staff meetings. Attends conferences or workshops in child development field if appropriate. Other duties may be assigned.
