Under the direct supervision of a Lead teacher, assistant caregivers are responsible for ensuring the children's safety and security assigned to their care. Assistant Caregiver Requirements:
Assistant caregivers must be at least 17 years of age. Up-to-date CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of employment. The employee covers the cost of this training. Heaven's Elect will cover the cost of renewal certifications every two years. Before contact with children, applicants must obtain a comprehensive background check. Complete training hours required by the State of Michigan.
Lead Teacher Requirements:

High school diploma or GED One year or more of childcare experience Lead Teacher Requirements Must be at least 19 years of age High school diploma or GED required Must be available to work at least 6 hours per day, Monday-Friday CPR and First Aid Certification required within 90 days of employment The employee is responsible for the initial certification cost Heaven's Elect covers renewal certifications every two years Must complete a comprehensive background check prior to contact with children Must complete all training required by the State of Michigan Lead Teacher Qualifications CDA or higher preferred Must meet state licensing childcare lead teacher requirements Experience managing and supervising large groups of children preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Passion for working with children in a faith-based environment
