This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and understands the importance of patience, creativity, emotional safety, and active engagement during early childhood development. Our ideal candidate is warm, playful, attentive, and proactive. We are looking for someone who will create meaningful experiences through play, conversation, outdoor time, reading, music, learning activities, and positive interaction. We value caregivers who are kind, emotionally aware, culturally respectful, and able to foster a safe and loving environment where a child can thrive. What This Role Looks Like Engaging in interactive play, learning activities, and outdoor experiences Supporting language development, creativity, numbers, colors, music, and exploration through everyday interaction Creating a calm, safe, and positive environment centered around care and connection Encouraging healthy boundaries and age appropriate redirection in a gentle and respectful way Keeping play spaces and child related areas tidy and organized throughout the day Providing attentive supervision and active engagement rather than passive caregiving Must have prior professional nannying experience. Important Notes No transportation of the child is required Diaper changes and most meal preparation are typically handled by family members A parent may occasionally be working from home during portions of the day We value outdoor play, imagination, movement, and low screen time This is a culturally aware household, and we are seeking someone who is respectful, open minded, and mindful of differences and bias Qualifications Experience caring for toddlers or young children required CPR and First Aid certification preferred Strong communication skills and reliability Ability to be present, engaged, playful, and attentive throughout the day Experience with early childhood learning, child development, or gentle caregiving approaches is a plus Must be dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with children Must be able to successfully pass a background check We are looking for someone who will become a trusted and positive presence in our child's life and who understands the importance of creating a space where children feel safe, celebrated, encouraged, and loved.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 30.0 per week Application Question(s): We want to make sure applicants understand the distinction between a nanny and a babysitter:
Nanny:
Provides consistent, ongoing childcare and actively supports the child's development, learning, routines, activities, and overall well-being.
Babysitter:
Provides occasional or short-term supervision, primarily focused on keeping the child safe while parents are away. We are not looking for a babysitter. Please confirm that you have prior nanny experience and briefly describe your nanny role and responsibilities.
