Compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver/personal assistant to help support older couple in their home. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working one-on-one with seniors and wants to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Husband is the primary caregiver for 87-year-old wife who has Parkinson's disease. Care is primarily for her . Help with daily routines, hygiene, meal preparation, light household tasks (keeping kitchen counters and kitchen floor clean, loading and unloading dishwasher, vacuuming when needed, laundry) ), medication reminders, and occasional technology assistance. Schedule Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11 am - 7 pm Occasional Sunday 4 hours in the afternoon Hours are somewhat flexible for the right candidate. Would consider 12-8 MW and 10-6 on Friday Responsibilities Prepare and clean up lunch Help husband prepare dinner Occasional outings with both spouses to the park, grocery store, library, doctors appointment Toileting assistance for wife Assist wife with dressing Provide companionship and support Light housekeeping, including: Laundry as needed Emptying/loading the dishwasher Keeping the kitchen tidy after dinner Help troubleshoot everyday technology questions involving iPhones, iPads, TVs, streaming services, and other household devices Assist with occasional errands or other small tasks as needed Qualifications Kind, patient, and dependable Experience caring for older adults preferred Knowledge of Parkinson's disease is highly desirable Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility support (training can be provided if needed) Tech-savvy and patient when helping with electronics Strong communication skills Reliable transportation and excellent attendance Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a private home We'd Love Someone Who Is...
