Job Description

We are a warm, active family looking for a loving, dependable, and engaged full-time nanny to care for our 2-year-old daughter. We are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and will become a trusted, long-term part of our family. Our ideal nanny is nurturing, playful, responsible, and proactive, and enjoys creating fun, age-appropriate activities while also helping our household run smoothly. Spanish-speaking is strongly preferred. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with every other Friday requiring evening availability. Our daughter attends school three mornings per week, so the role includes school pickup on those days as well as driving to activities and outings. Because of this, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record are required. Responsibilities The primary focus of this position is providing attentive, loving care for our 2-year-old.
Responsibilities include:
School pickup three mornings per week Planning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities Taking her to classes, parks, playdates, and other outings Encouraging learning, independence, creativity, and development through play Preparing her meals and snacks Managing her laundry and keeping her bedroom and play areas organized Keeping toys, books, clothing, and children's supplies organized Helping maintain her daily routines and schedule Driving her safely to school, activities, appointments, and outings Helping with light household tasks related to the child Preparing 1-2 simple family meals per week Occasionally helping with small household errands or tasks during downtime What We're Looking For Spanish-speaking strongly preferred Prior professional nanny or childcare experience Experience caring for toddlers Warm, patient, engaged, and genuinely enjoys children Dependable, organized, and proactive Comfortable planning activities and outings independently Valid driver's license and clean driving record required Reliable transportation required Non-smoker Strong references Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete Form I-9 Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience 40 hours per week Paid biweekly through payroll Fixed gas allowance Two weeks of paid vacation Optional health insurance; employer pays 65% of the premium Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day About the Position We are looking for someone who wants more than just a short-term position. We hope to find a nanny who will build a close relationship with our daughter and become an important and trusted part of our family's life. We value someone who is warm and loving with her, but who is also reliable, communicative, and takes ownership of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role.
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
