This position is well suited for an experienced early childhood professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a center, leading a team, making operational decisions, and maintaining a high-quality environment for children. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field Level III Administrator credential Minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience within a licensed childcare center Strong understanding of childcare regulations and licensing requirements Experience supervising and developing early childhood staff Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with a hands-on leadership approach Position Responsibilities Direct the day-to-day functioning of the center and ensure consistent operational standards Provide leadership and guidance to teaching and administrative staff Monitor classroom environments and support high-quality early childhood practices Ensure staffing needs and classroom coverage are appropriately addressed Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies Review center documentation and ensure records are maintained accurately and appropriately Conduct staff coaching, observations, performance conversations, and professional development activities Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retaining qualified employees Build productive relationships with children, families, and staff Address family questions and concerns and work toward effective resolutions Support enrollment objectives through tours, family communication, community outreach, and retention efforts Participate in local events and activities that increase awareness of the center Track center needs and communicate operational priorities to regional leadership Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that strengthen center performance Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the center Step into different areas of the operation when needed to support the overall success of the center
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday-Friday schedule. The Center Director must be available and maintain flexibility throughout the center's operating hours based on daily business needs.
Physical Requirements:
The position involves regular interaction with young children and requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, run, bend, and climb stairs throughout the day. The ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is required.
