Before school care is from 7:15-8:30 am. After school childcare hours are 3 pm - 6:15 pm with most shifts from 3-4:30 or 3-5 pm. Pay depends on experience, estimated $14-$16/hour. Before school care involves supervision of students as they arrive to school. Some students eat breakfast and a variety of activities are available to our students. After students are dismissed to their classrooms, there is some light cleanup, usually completed within 10-15 minutes by 8:30 am. The after school childcare schedule consists of a snack, outdoor play on the playground or field, indoor play in the gym or the childcare room, and cleanup. Up to 40 students aged 4-11 participate in after school childcare. Candidates should enjoy working with children, be kind and tenderhearted, be comfortable in a Christian environment, and be willing to work with a team of caregivers. Grace Lutheran School's after school childcare is licensed with the state of ND and operates within all the rules and regulations set by the state, including requiring a background check and fingerprinting, CPR and first aid training, and 7+ education hours through the North Dakota Childcare Workforce Registry.
