Job Overview We are seeking energetic and reliable Child Care On-Call Substitutes to join our team! In this vital role, you will step into various childcare settings on an as-needed basis, ensuring children receive attentive supervision, nurturing care, and engaging activities. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a positive impact in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and caregiving. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision for children of diverse ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Follow established routines and activity plans to promote developmentally appropriate play and learning experiences. Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's needs, behaviors, and daily activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that supports children's well-being and development. Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children. Respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral issues following mandated reporting laws and center policies. Skills Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with disabilities. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare setting. Ability to manage behavior constructively and implement behavior management techniques. Classroom experience in daycare centers or early childhood education environments is highly valued.
