The role starts part-time (~20 hrs/week) while the mother is on maternity leave, then transitions to full-time by late October once she returns to work. The family values genuine developmental knowledge, patience, and a naturally organized, self-sufficient caregiver who can work comfortably alongside a parent who works from home part of the week. What You Will Do Full daily infant care: feeding, soothing, naps, diapering Age-appropriate developmental engagement, classes, and activities as the baby grows Light laundry (baby's laundry) Light dog care: bathroom breaks, walks with stroller, occasional feeding Maintain existing household organization systems (bins, labels, order) independently Family-assistant tasks (grocery runs, errands) as hours allow during the transition period Schedule and Compensation Transition phase (now-late October): Mon-Fri, ~9am-1pm (~20 hrs/week) Full-time phase (late October onward): ~3 long days/week (7:30am-7:30pm) plus 2 shorter WFH days (~9am-5pm) Occasional flexibility for later evenings $35-40/hour to start; up to $45/hour for an exceptional candidate Long-term placement strongly preferred Requirements 5+ years of professional nanny experience Direct experience with infants (4-12 months) Legally authorized to work in the US Valid driver's license Strong references demonstrating long-term placement history What We Are Looking For Patient, calm, and emotionally regulated, especially with a fussy or crying baby Genuine developmental knowledge and enthusiasm for infant/toddler care Naturally organized and self-sufficient Warm, communicative, and proactive with parents Comfortable working alongside a parent working from home Adaptable to an evolving family routine and philosophy Quick Checks Before You Apply Comfortable driving daily (family car available)?
