Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and energetic Respite Staff to provide dedicated care and support to an 8 year old child in Canajoharie, NY. 10 - 20 hours per week available, hours are flexible as child is homeschooled. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for child Implement engaging activities that promote developmental growth, social interaction, and emotional well-being. Assist with daily routines such as dressing, and personal hygiene Ensure a safe environment by monitoring child closely and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support child by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance as needed. Maintain open communication with familiy regarding childs progress, behaviors, and any concerns that arise during care. Use your First Aid and CPR skills to respond promptly and effectively in case of emergencies or injuries. Experience Prior experience working with children with special needs Demonstrated experience caring for children with disabilities or special needs is highly preferred. Knowledge of childcare best practices gained through daycare experience or similar roles. Certification in First Aid and CPR is essential; additional training in working with children with disabilities is a plus. Experience assisting with personal transportation for children or helping families coordinate outings is advantageous. Join us in creating a supportive environment where children thrive! Pay:
$30.00 - $34.00 per hour
