ALWAYS ON PART TIME SITTER
2-Year-Old Girl in Jackson Heights, Queens Overview This Jackson Heights family is looking for an experienced, professional, and proactive sitter to care for their 2-year-old daughter on weekday afternoons. The sitter will support her daily routine, plan age-appropriate activities, get her outside regularly for playground time and outings, and help with meals as needed. Clear and consistent communication with the parents about how the day is going will also be an important part of the role. This is an Always On recurring booking with an ongoing month-to-month commitment. You'll coordinate your schedule directly with the family each month, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for recurring bookings with flexibility. While this role does not include formal benefits, sick time is accrued at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked. The Ideal Candidate for this Job You are an experienced, professional, communicative, and proactive sitter who is confident caring for a 2-year-old. You're comfortable taking initiative and planning engaging, age-appropriate activities both at home and out in the neighborhood. You enjoy getting children outside regularly and can confidently manage playground trips and other local outings. You are dependable and attentive to a child's routine while remaining flexible as needs change throughout the day. You communicate clearly and consistently with parents and are comfortable sharing updates about the child's activities and how the day is going. This is a particularly great role for someone seeking a flexible, ongoing arrangement, such as an auditioning actor, an artist, or an individual in grad school. You're passionate about childcare and are excited to work in a position that doesn't require a long-term commitment. Schedule Monday through Friday, 2 P.M.-6 P.M.

November 25-27: No coverage needed About the Children 2 year old, girl: She is super chatty, typically developing 2-year-old who loves getting out of the house and going to the playground, often once or twice a day. She has a good routine and is currently down to one midday nap. Rather than following a strict timed schedule, the family generally follows her cues and moves through a familiar sequence of activities throughout the day. She has no known allergies. Responsibilities Responsibilities include providing attentive afternoon childcare, supporting the child's daily routine, and planning developmentally appropriate activities. The sitter should be comfortable taking initiative and getting the child out of the house regularly for playground time and other age-appropriate outings. The sitter will also help with meals as needed and communicate with the parents about how the day is going. Additional Information The family lives in Jackson Heights, Queens. Their home is convenient to the 7 train, with bus access from the E train. Parking is also available, and the family can assist with parking if needed. There are no pets in the home. This is an Always On recurring booking with an ongoing month-to-month commitment.
