Schedule:
✔️ Monday-Friday ✔️ Approximately 9:00 AM-7:00 PM OR 9:30 AM-7:30 PM ✔️ Full-time, long-term position ✔️ Live-out strongly preferred ✔️ Live-in during the week with weekends off may be considered A warm, busy family in Seaford is seeking a loving, upbeat, and dependable full-time live-out nanny to join their family long-term. The family previously had an au pair and especially loved the close, affectionate relationship she developed with their children. They are hoping to find a nanny who genuinely LOVES children, is happy to play and interact with them, and wants to become a trusted part of the family. Although there are three children, the primary daytime responsibility is the 1.5-year-old , as both older children attend school Monday-Friday. The family strongly values structure, engagement, communication, and hands-on care rather than screen time.
Responsibilities:
✔️ Primary daytime care for the 1.5-year-old ✔️ Keeping toddler active and engaged through play, reading, learning, outdoor time, parks, and age-appropriate activities ✔️ Preschool pickup around 2:00 PM ✔️ After-school care once the older children return home ✔️ Maintaining a structured, engaging and screen-free environment ✔️ Supporting homework, play, and afternoon/evening routines ✔️ Helping with bath time ✔️ Plating/reheating dinner that mom has already meal-prepped ✔️ Children's laundry and organization ✔️ Light child-related household tasks while older children are at school ✔️ Prioritizing interaction and quality time with the children when they are home ✨
Requirements:
✔️ Strong toddler and multi-child nanny experience ✔️ Warm, affectionate, friendly, and upbeat personality ✔️ Must genuinely enjoy playing and interacting with children ✔️ Reliable, honest, and an excellent communicator ✔️ Comfortable maintaining structure, routines, and boundaries ✔️ Proactive and willing to help during downtime ✔️ Long-term commitment strongly preferred ✔️ Must drive
Additional Details:
✔️ The nanny will not have all three children for the majority of the day. ✔️ Both older children attend school full-time Monday-Friday; the middle child is picked up around 2:00 PM and the oldest takes the bus home. ✔️ Dad handles morning school drop-offs. ✔️ Mom handles much of the children's additional activity transportation when she gets home. ✔️ During the summer, the older children attend camp approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, so the primary focus continues to be the youngest child. ✔️ Family car can be provided for work-related driving if needed. ✔️ No pets. ✔️ Two weeks vacation and major holidays off. ✔️ Family travel is not required, although nanny may have the opportunity to join if interested. ✔️ Parents work outside the home during the school year. ✔️ Family is very team-oriented and wants someone who communicates openly and becomes a trusted extension of the parents. The biggest priority is finding someone loving, affectionate, reliable, and genuinely excited to be with the children. The family wants a nanny who will put the children first when they're home, keep them engaged and happy, and build the same close, long-term bond they've valued with previous caregivers.
