Long-term (multi-year) Position Overview A warm, welcoming family in South Salem, NY is seeking a dependable, experienced part-time nanny for a long-term, multi-year role. Care will focus mainly on their 1-year-old son. Their 3-year-old son attends preschool during the day. The ideal candidate is attentive, nurturing, and a strong communicator who can keep the baby safe, engaged, and on a healthy routine. The family's home sits on a walking trail, so there will be plenty of stroller outings.

Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, engaging, and safe care for a 1-year-old Support and help establish the baby's nap routine as it transitions Prepare meals and snacks for the baby Handle the baby's laundry and keep his clothing organized during nap times Take the baby on daily stroller walks and outdoor outings Plan age-appropriate play and developmental activities Take occasional local outings, such as to the library, in the family's vehicle once trust is established Communicate clearly and consistently with the family about the day, routines, and any concerns

Requirements:

Proven long-term nanny or childcare work history Experience caring for infants and toddlers Current CPR/First Aid certification Valid driver's license Comfortable with a cat in the home Strong, proactive communication skills Respectful, reliable, and punctual Must be able to provide 3-5 professional references
