Job Description

Childcare Leadership Support Specialist Entry-Level Leadership Role | Classroom & Office Support The Goddard School in Independence is looking for a dependable, professional, and motivated Childcare Leadership Support Specialist to support both our classrooms and office team. Candidates must be able to work Monday through Friday, 9am - 6:15pm. This is a great opportunity for someone with childcare experience who is interested in growing into a future leadership role. This position is considered a step below an Assistant Director role and is designed for someone who wants to learn more about the daily operations of a licensed childcare center while continuing to stay connected to the classrooms. The right person for this role will be flexible, positive, organized, and willing to jump in wherever needed. This position includes a mix of classroom support, teacher assistance, family communication, administrative tasks, and learning the behind-the-scenes responsibilities that help a school run smoothly.
Responsibilities may include:
Supporting classrooms as needed throughout the day Helping maintain safe supervision and proper classroom ratios Assisting teachers with daily routines, transitions, meals, rest time, and activities Providing classroom coverage and breaks for teachers Helping with end-of-day classroom support and family pick-up Greeting families and children in a warm, professional manner Assisting with phone calls, filing, forms, daily organization, and office tasks Supporting communication between teachers, families, and the office Helping organize classroom materials, supplies, and school documents Assisting with special projects, school events, and daily center needs Learning basic childcare center operations, licensing expectations, and leadership responsibilities Modeling professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude Qualified candidates should have: Experience working in a licensed childcare center A strong interest in growing into a future leadership or assistant director role Dependability and strong attendance A positive, professional, and team-focused attitude The ability to work well with children, families, teachers, and office staff Flexibility to support both classroom and administrative needs Strong communication and organization skills The ability to stay calm and helpful in a busy school environment Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow professionally Comfort working with multiple age groups A good understanding of childcare routines, supervision, and safety expectations This Position May Be a

Pay:
