Our founder has 22 years of experience in early childhood education, and our placements focus on child development, clear communication, and a good long term fit for both nanny and family. About the Role A warm family in North Olmsted is looking for a dependable Private Nanny for their one young child. They want a caregiver who enjoys being with children, supports development through hands on play, and brings a gentle, consistent approach to guidance. Reliability is this family's top priority, and the position comes with a written contract that sets out clear expectations. The day follows a steady routine and is screen free. Schedule Monday and Friday, plus one flexible weekday (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) Approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, until 5:00 PM on Fridays Occasional date night coverage once or twice a month (optional, not required) Pay and Benefits $25 to $28 per hour Guaranteed hours: you are paid for your scheduled hours even if the family cancels a day Holiday pay for regularly scheduled days that fall on a holiday Mileage reimbursement for driving Responsibilities Follow the child's established daily routine, including meals, nap, and play Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities, including sensory, gross motor, and STEM play Guide behavior with gentle redirection, offering choices, and support through transitions Keep the day screen free Prepare meals, clean up after meals, and do the child's laundry Take the child on outings when appropriate, if you have a reliable vehicle (the family provides the car seat) Give the parents an end of day check in, and save calls or texts for emergencies Requirements At least three years of professional experience in teaching, nannying, or childcare Current CPR and First Aid certification Up to date basic childhood vaccinations Nonsmoker A strong record of reliable, consistent attendance Comfortable in a home with a friendly dog (no pet care required) Within a 30 minute commute of North Olmsted Preferred Qualifications Experience caring for toddlers A reliable vehicle for outings Availability for occasional date night coverage Our Process All candidates complete a background check, reference verification, and an agency interview before being introduced to the family. After that, the family holds a virtual interview, followed by an in person visit in their home.
