This is a split shift. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:00-10:00am and 2:00-6:00pm. YOUR ROLE AS A CHILD CARE SITE DIRECTOR
As the Child Care Site Director at the Y, you'll be at the helm of daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and joyously! Your dynamic role involves overseeing center enrollment and marketing while keeping a close eye on classroom teachers and compliance with ODJFS licensing and Step-Up to Quality standards. You'll also handle billing, snack, and meal service, ensuring every child is nourished for fun-filled days! With your fantastic communication skills, you'll engage with children, parents, YMCA personnel, and center guests, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued. Plus, you'll collaborate with fellow center directors, sharing ideas and strategies to elevate our programs further. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To thrive as a Child Care Site Director at the Y, you'll need a unique blend of skills and experience! A B.S. Degree in Education or a related field is essential, along with two years of experience as a child care director or head teacher. If you have an associate's degree, don't fret-four years of relevant experience still qualifies you for this exciting role! Proficiency in Ohio Department of Job and Families Child Care licensing regulations and Step-Up to Quality standards is a must to ensure compliance and excellence in our programs. Your strong leadership abilities, creativity, and passion for working with children will help you inspire a fun and vibrant learning atmosphere. Communication skills are key as you connect with staff, parents, and the community, making you the go-to person for all things related to our center! B.S.
