Job Description

The Director is responsible for the overall performance and daily leadership of the center, ensuring strong enrollment, regulatory compliance, a high-quality early learning experience, and positive family relationships. This role leads center operations, supports educator development, maintains a safe and engaging environment for children and staff. The Director works closely under the supervision of the Director of Childcare Services to implement curriculum and uphold high program quality standards. Through strong communication and leadership, the Director fosters a collaborative culture that supports staff growth and positive outcomes for children and families while meeting the fiscal goals for the Center. Experience working in a DHS licensed childcare facility is a must as well as working knowledge and experience with the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program and the CACFP food program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a closely related, state-approved field.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a licensed childcare facility or preschool setting.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Deep working knowledge of state childcare licensing requirements and safety compliance standards.
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain them immediately upon hire).
