Job Description
The Nanny Loft is seeking two experienced, nurturing part-time infant nannies on behalf of a warm and welcoming family in Newtown, PA . These positions focus on providing attentive, loving care for a one-month-old infant and are best suited for career nannies with substantial hands-on newborn and infant experience. The ideal candidates are dependable, professional, and passionate about supporting a child's early growth and development. We are looking for caregivers who understand the importance of consistency, communication, and creating a safe, nurturing environment while partnering with parents to provide exceptional care. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a kind family that values a long-term, trusting relationship with their nannies. In order to be eligible for the Nanny position, a qualified candidate must fulfill the following minimum requirements: General Qualifications Have a high school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. Be at least 21 years of age. Be legally authorized to work in the United States. Possess sound moral character and a kind disposition suitable for caring for children of all ages without supervision. Experience & Knowledge Qualified candidates should have: A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience caring for newborns and infants (occasional childcare will not be considered). Recent, verifiable experience in a private home with infants. A strong understanding of infant development, feeding, sleep routines, and age-appropriate engagement. Comfortable providing loving care and attention to the family's five-year-old Maltipoo (small dog) as part of the household routine. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to building a long-term relationship with the family. Certifications & Clearances Successfully complete Mandated Reporter Training. Successfully complete, or be willing to successfully complete, Car Seat Safety Training prior to the start date. Successfully pass a background check demonstrating suitability for caring for young children without supervision. Possess valid Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain or renew them as a condition of hire. Health & Physical Requirements Be physically fit, energetic, agile, and dexterous. Provide proof of current vaccinations, including but not limited to Tdap, MMR, HepA, HepB, PCV, and influenza. Transportation Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record demonstrating proficient driving skills. Child Care Responsibilities Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the child. Reliably and predictably attending work and being punctual. Safely bathing and dressing infants and young children. Changing diapers and potty training, as age appropriate. Disciplining the child according to the family's preferred parenting style. Planning meals, preparing food, and/or feeding the child. Reading to the child. Researching, planning, and engaging in educational activities and crafts. Engaging in indoor and outdoor play. Arranging appropriate playdates and outings. Administering medication with the parents' consent, if necessary. Child-Related Household Duty Laundering the child's clothes, bedding, and other child-related items. Organizing the child's bedroom and toys. Maintaining logs for the parents. Performing light housekeeping duties, including dishwashing, grocery shopping, tidying up, vacuuming, and other child-related household tasks.
