The Opportunity A leading early childhood education provider is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Director to oversee a group of childcare centers in the Columbia, SC market. This role is ideal for a strong multi-site leader who knows how to develop Center Directors, strengthen school operations, and balance quality care and education with enrollment, staffing, compliance, and financial performance. As Regional Director, you'll work closely with Center Directors to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and build strong, successful schools where children, families, and employees can thrive. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop Center Directors across multiple locations Partner with center leadership to strengthen enrollment, staffing, family experience, and overall school performance Ensure consistent operational, quality, and licensing standards throughout the region Develop action plans and provide hands-on support to locations needing improvement Manage regional budgets, financial goals, and key performance indicators Build a strong leadership pipeline and positive, accountable team culture Maintain productive relationships with state licensing and regulatory agencies Partner with internal stakeholders to address operational needs and achieve regional goals What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, organizational leadership, business, or similar field. 3 years having worked with children or in a comparable leadership role within childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education. Demonstrated experience managing multiple locations is highly preferred. Experience managing budgets and financial performance. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated knowledge of licensing standards, curriculum implementation, developmentally appropriate practices and balancing budgets. Strong computer literacy and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Demonstrated sensitivity and quick responsiveness to the needs of children, parents/guardians, and staff. Must pass all required state and company background checks. Location & Travel Successful candidate should live within the Columbia, SC area. 70% local, 5% distance travel is required. Compensation Package We offer competitive compensation of $70-$90k, plus performance-based bonus potential up to an additional $25,000 per year. Compensation will be based on experience, education, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
