Are you experienced with Owning/Directing a Family Childcare Home and have a Desire to help other Providers? Our Family Child Care Coaches have some of the following responsibilities: Provide all technical assistance at times that are most convenient for our child care programs which will require work on weeknights or weekends. Provide in-person and virtual training in large and small group settings. Create and facilitate peer learning groups for family and group child care professionals. Conduct onsite visits to all family and group child care programs in assigned service delivery area. Assist with the planning and delivery of the Family & Group Child Care statewide conference. Submit data on training, coaching, and technical assistance within 3 days of when service was delivered. Research and stay current on quality practices of home-based child care businesses. Maintain extensive knowledge of Tennessee Quality Rating and Improvement System. Support child care professionals seeking accreditation through the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) and/or other national accreditation systems. Support family child care professionals seeking a Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™. Provide support for the regional Children in Disaster Task Force including but not limited to consultation with family and group child care professionals for emergency preparedness planning. Submit application to determine eligibility for CDA PD Specialist. Maintain professional working relationships with area coaches and support other CCR&R coaches as they support family and group child care professionals. Participate in CCR&R Network meetings, local staff and partner meetings and other meetings called by the Department of Human Services or partners. Attend all Train-the Trainer events, All-Staff and Supplemental Trainings which may include overnight travel. Serve as facilitator for Train-the-Trainer Institutes and Supplemental Trainings as requested. Author content for family and group child care resources, CCR&R newsletter/social media/website as requested. Collaborate with applicable State agencies. Achieve and maintain First Aid/CPR instructor certification provided by CCR&R. Positively market the CCR&R Network to the community. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications Include:

Must have bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Studies, or a closely related field. A minimum of three years of early childhood/education experience. Direct care experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of the QRIS and licensing programs in TN and the role of the Tennessee Child Care Resource and Referral Network. Ability to train adults using principles of adult learning. Physical examination and record of negative TB test results must be on file with Signal Centers. Dependable transportation, valid driver's license and insurance required. Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned Tennessee service area. Must be able to work from a remote home environment within the state of TN. All applicants are required to undergo a background check that ensure they are eligible to enter and work in child care centers in the state of Tennessee.
