Chattanooga, TN Job Details Part-time $13 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Do you enjoy caring for children and making a positive impact on their lives? If so, we have an immediate opening for a highly skilled and motivated Child Watch Staff. Child Watch is the Y's childcare program for members and is for children ages 8 weeks to 11 years old. We are currently hiring Child Watch Staff who can work shifts during the weekdays and on weekends!
Responsibilities:
Supervise a group of children while adhering to program standards including safety and cleanliness Plan and implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities Attend staff meetings and trainings Maintain accurate and timely records Follow YMCA policies and procedures Maintain positive relations with parents and other staff Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred Previous experience working with children At least 18 years of age Previous experience with diverse populations preferred
Physical Demands:
Ability to plan, lead, and participate in a range of activities in various settings Walking, stooping, standing, hearing, seeing, lifting (up to 50 pounds)
Training:
CPR, First Aid, AED, and O2 certifications required within the first 30 days of employment New Employee Orientation required within the first week of employment
