Job Description
Childcare & Play Team MemberPosition Summary The Childcare & Play Team Member is responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can play, learn, and explore. This role actively supervises play areas, interacts with children, assists families, and helps maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for working with children, a positive attitude, and a servant's heart. Key ResponsibilitiesChild Supervision & Safety Actively supervise children throughout the playground to ensure safe play. Intervene quickly and appropriately when unsafe behavior occurs. Assist children in navigating play equipment safely. Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols. Report accidents, injuries, or safety concerns immediately. Help enforce playground rules in a kind, consistent, and respectful manner. Child Engagement Interact with children through games, activities, and positive encouragement. Create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere where every child feels included. Encourage cooperative play and positive social interactions. Celebrate birthdays and special occasions with enthusiasm. Help create memorable experiences for every family. Customer Service Welcome families with a friendly smile and helpful attitude. Answer guest questions and assist parents as needed. Resolve minor concerns professionally and notify management of larger issues. Represent the business with kindness, professionalism, and integrity. Cleanliness & Organization Keep play areas clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the day. Clean toys, tables, and high-touch surfaces on a regular schedule. Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities. Help maintain a neat and welcoming facility. Teamwork Work closely with fellow team members to ensure excellent guest experiences. Communicate effectively with managers regarding guest needs and safety concerns. Support special events, birthday parties, camps, and holiday activities. Qualifications Experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, elementary education, children's ministry, camps, or similar environments preferred. Passion for working with children and families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, energetic, patient, and dependable. Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire) preferred. Must successfully pass a background check. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and actively move throughout the playground for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Comfortable working in a loud, active, child-focused environment. What Success Looks Like Children are safe, engaged, and having fun. Parents feel confident and supported during their visit. The playground remains clean, organized, and welcoming. Every guest leaves feeling cared for and excited to return.
