Job Requirements:

High school diploma or high school equivalent Meets minimum age requirements of 18 years of age CPR and First Aid certification or willing to attain Must be able to pass the DFPS background check Meets all requirements of licensing and regulatory agencies Displays positive interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Duties:

Provide support to the teaching team Making copies, gather materials and laminating Be familiar with all the teachers and all the children Be aware of the needs of each classroom Be alert and listening for calls for help Assume the responsibilities of the classroom teacher in his/her absence Assume the responsibilities of the classrooms at the end of teacher shifts When needed, assist children during teacher-led activities and lessons. It may also be necessary to assist teachers with preparation for activities by cutting out or assembling materials. Assist teacher in potty training rooms and diaper if needed. Assists in cleaning work area, laundry, keeping supply closets organized. Provide Director with a list of supplies that need to be purchased. Make sure classrooms are stocked with supplies such as soap, paper towels, disinfecting spray, toilet paper, etc. Give teachers lunch breaks Complete building and grounds checklist daily Complete playground inspection monthly
