Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education and care programs. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can thrive. You will manage daily operations, support staff development, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster positive relationships with families. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development, early education, and social-emotional growth. Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring proper child supervision and behavior management strategies are in place. Lead staff recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development in areas such as classroom management, special education, and pediatric first aid. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns or updates. Oversee enrollment processes, maintain accurate records of attendance, health information, and licensing documentation. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in childcare practices. Experience Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Prior leadership experience as a childcare director or center supervisor in a daycare or early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Familiarity with daycare licensing requirements, mandated reporting laws, and health & safety standards. Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff members, and community partners to promote a supportive childcare environment.
