Job Description

Position Summary:
The Childcare Center Director is responsible for the overall operation, administration, and management of the childcare center. The Director ensures a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children while maintaining compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Administration:
Oversee daily center operations, including scheduling, staffing, and facility maintenance. Ensure the center adheres to all state and local childcare licensing requirements, health, and safety standards. Manage center budget, including payroll, supply procurement, and tuition collection. Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and facility inspections. Support center operations by stepping in to teach classrooms as needed and operating the center van for transportation requirements.
Staff Leadership:
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching and support staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations. Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment. Ensure all staff meet ongoing professional development and certification requirements.
Curriculum & Development:
Implement and oversee an age-appropriate, high-quality educational curriculum. Monitor child development progress and ensure individual needs are met. Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
Marketing & Enrollment Growth:
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to increase center visibility and brand awareness in the local community. Manage the center's digital presence, including social media, website updates, and online reviews. Proactively drive enrollment growth through community outreach, networking, and promotional events. Track enrollment data and conversion rates to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed. Coordinate open houses and prospective family tours to convert interest into enrollment.
Family & Community Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians. Manage enrollment processes and parent orientations. Address parent concerns promptly and professionally. Build strong relationships with the local community and relevant educational organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience/certification as required by state law). Proven experience in a childcare or educational leadership role. Demonstrated success in marketing, sales, or business growth within an educational or service-based setting. In-depth knowledge of state licensing regulations and safety protocols. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in administrative tasks, including budgeting and record-keeping. CPR/First Aid certification and ability to pass required background checks.
