Job Description
Childcare Director Job Summary The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote child development and learning. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health and safety standards. Foster positive relationships with parents, children, and the community to promote the center's mission. Manage administrative tasks including budgeting, enrollment, and record keeping. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and program effectiveness. Organize staff meetings, training sessions, and family engagement activities. Cook, clean, organize, keep up with building maintenance Adhere to the USDA Food Program Guidelines, Texas Rising Star Program, Pre-K Partnership Program, TWC Workforce and Military CCAP, and NAEYC Standards. Experience A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience in education administration or higher education teaching is highly desirable. Proven experience working with students in an educational setting. Train and mentor all new hire and current employees for a successful team work organization Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, parents, and community members. Bilingual

Qualifications:
(1) A bachelor degree with 12 college credit hours in child development and six college credit hours in management and at least one year of experience in a licensed child-care center; (2) An associate of applied science degree in child development or a closely related field with six college credit hours in child development and six college credit hours in management. A "closely related field" is any educational instruction pertaining to the growth, development, physical or mental care, or education of children ages birth through 13 years and at least two years of experience in a licensed child- care center; (3) Sixty college credit hours with nine college credit hours in child development and six college credit hours in management and at least two years of experience in a licensed child
- care center; (4) A child-care administrator's certificate from a community college with at least 15 college credit hours in child development and three college credit hours in management and at least two years of experience in a licensed child
- care center; (5) Six college credit hours in management with a Child Development Associate credential or Certified Child-Care Professional credential and at least two years of experience in a licensed child
- care center; (6) A day-care administrator's credential issued by a professional organization or educational institution and at least two years of experience in a licensed child
- care center; or (7) Nine college credit hours in child development and nine college credit hours in management and at least three years of experience in a licensed child
- care center.
Pay:
Salary $42,000- 45,000 depending on degrees, certifications, experience.
