Minimum Requirement:

Four years' experience as Director of Operations managing a Licensed Preschool Center of 200+ students and a minimum of 20 employees. Job Summary The Childcare Center Director has overall responsibility for the successful daily operation of the school, providing strong leadership while maintaining a high-quality, safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, families, and staff. The Director is responsible for ensuring the school operates in full compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing requirements, Texas Rising Star standards, company policies, and established operating procedures. This includes maintaining the school's Texas Rising Star quality standards through ongoing attention to classroom quality, teacher-child interactions, curriculum implementation, staff qualifications and professional development, family engagement, health and safety practices, and required documentation. The Director is expected to be highly visible and actively involved in the daily operations of the school, regularly monitoring classrooms, supporting and coaching teachers, addressing family concerns, maintaining appropriate staffing and ratios, and ensuring licensing and quality standards are consistently met throughout the day. In addition to maintaining exceptional program quality, the Director is responsible for the financial and operational performance of the school. This includes maximizing enrollment, retaining existing families, managing labor and operating expenses within established budgets, controlling costs, and working toward defined revenue and profitability goals. The ideal Director understands that operating a successful childcare center requires balancing quality early childhood education with strong business management. The Director should take ownership of the school's performance, build positive relationships with families and staff, maintain a culture of accountability and professionalism, and ensure the center consistently reflects the high standards expected of a Texas Rising Star program. Qualifications The Director must meet all Texas Child Care Licensing requirements for a Child Care Center Director and maintain all required credentials and training throughout employment. Candidates must possess one of the following: A current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential; or An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field.

$48,460.71 - $58,361.29 per year
