Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Licensed Child-Care Administrator (LCCA) to lead and oversee the daily operations of a licensed childcare facility. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment for children and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess extensive management experience within childcare or related healthcare settings, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have a comprehensive understanding of licensing regulations, health policies, and quality care standards. As an LCCA, you will champion best practices in child development, safety protocols, and operational excellence to foster an enriching environment that supports children's growth and families' peace of mind. Duties Manage all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, compliance with licensing standards, and quality assurance. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that promote children's developmental milestones while adhering to regulatory guidelines. Supervise staff members ensuring they deliver high-quality care aligned with best practices in early childhood education and health safety. Maintain thorough documentation related to licensing requirements, health records, incident reports, and care assessments using Microsoft Office tools. Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal regulations governing childcare services, including health policies and safety standards. Oversee medication administration procedures and ensure proper training for staff on medication management protocols. Foster positive relationships with children's families by communicating effectively about their child's progress and addressing concerns promptly. Lead staff training initiatives focused on child development, safety procedures, emergency response plans, and regulatory updates. Coordinate with healthcare providers for specialized services such as speech therapy or developmental assessments when necessary. Manage financial aspects including budgeting, payroll processing, resource procurement, and maintaining financial records to support sustainable operations. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Child-Care Administrator (LCCA) or equivalent certification recognized by relevant licensing agencies. Proven management experience within licensed childcare facilities or healthcare environments such as nursing homes or assisted living communities. Extensive knowledge of long-term care regulations, dementia care practices—including Alzheimer's care—and resident's rights principles. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in high-demand settings; ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork. Familiarity with care plans development for children with developmental disabilities or special needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience working within disability services or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Sound understanding of healthcare financial management—including budgeting and financial acumen—applied within residential or long-term care settings. Knowledge of medication administration procedures specific to pediatric or developmental populations. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to manage compliance with health regulation policies effectively.
