Job Overview We are looking for a caring, dependable, and responsible Direct Care Staff member to work with youth living in our Residential Treatment Center (RTC). Your main job will be to keep residents safe, provide support and supervision, and help them follow their daily routines and treatment plans. You will work directly with residents throughout your shift and help create a calm, structured, and respectful environment. Responsibilities Supervise residents throughout your shift and make sure they are safe and following facility rules. Help residents follow their daily schedules, routines, and treatment plans. Encourage positive behavior and help residents learn appropriate ways to communicate and handle their emotions. Assist residents with everyday activities such as getting ready, personal hygiene, meals, cleaning their rooms, chores, schoolwork, and recreation. Keep accurate notes about residents' activities, behaviors, incidents, and progress during your shift. Respond to difficult behaviors and crisis situations using the training and procedures provided by the facility. Help prevent and resolve conflicts between residents in a calm and professional manner. Administer medications and document them when properly trained and authorized to do so. Transport residents to appointments, school, activities, or other approved locations when needed. Communicate with other staff members and supervisors about resident needs, behaviors, concerns, and progress. Attend required staff meetings and training. Follow all facility rules, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and state licensing requirements. Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with residents while providing appropriate support and boundaries. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field is a plus. Previous experience working with youth is preferred but may not be required depending on qualifications. Must be at least 21 years old, as required by applicable state licensing requirements. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and any required certifications. Good communication and teamwork skills. Patient, dependable, and able to work with youth who may display challenging behaviors. Able to stay calm and follow instructions during stressful or emergency situations. Comfortable working directly with youth, including helping with personal care, daily routines, activities, and behavior management. Willingness to work as part of a team and follow the facility's schedule, rules, and procedures.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
