Schedule & Structure Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am-12noon.
Guarantee:
9 hours per week, few extra hours per week is negotiable.
Commitment:
8 months Core Responsibilities Carry her up and down the stairs at school. Carry her walker up and down the stairs and in and out of the car when her parents drop her off and pick her up. Lift her on to chairs and toilet. Work with the movement teacher to adapt activities so she can participate. Creatively and spontaneously find ways for her to engage in classroom activities. On the occasional day the school is closed and assistance is provided in the home; Light household help includes tidying toys, organizing play and meal areas. The family is looking for someone who is: Cable of lifting 40 lbs. Kind, patient, flexible, adaptable and nurturing: uses calm, good communicator. Lots of energy. Takes initiative, needs little direction. Keeps child engaged, curious, and safe while the child is determined to do things herself. Experience with special needs is helpful.
Qualifications:
CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain promptly). High school diploma or higher. Safe driver with a reliable, insured vehicle. Excellent references and professional boundaries/confidentiality.
Agency Requirements:
We require a minimum of 9 references (3 Childcare, 3 Employment, and 3 Personal). This is nonnegotiable. Compensation & Benefits 9 Guaranteed Hours Per Week Hourly $18-$22, payroll
Paid Time Off:
PTO/Sick days 2 Paid Vacation days: 7 Total Wednesday, Nov 25th and 6 days between 12/17/26 and 1/3/27 Target start: School starts Sept 14th. At least one date earlier in the home to get acquainted with the child, her twin sister. mom, dad and the family dog. This family has partnered with America's Best Nannies (a Sister Company of Hilton Head Nannies) to be introduced to qualified candidates.
