Job Description
Job Summary I am looking for a warm, dependable, and engaging full-time nanny to care for my two daughters (almost 6 years old and 3 years old). The ideal candidate enjoys being active with children, encourages learning through play, and provides a safe, nurturing environment. This position guarantees 45 hours per week , Monday through Friday, typically 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM , with some flexibility in daily hours. There will also be occasional opportunities for additional paid hours. Compensation & Benefits $25-30/hour, depending on experience Guaranteed 45 hours/week W-2 employee (taxes withheld) 5 days paid vacation 5 days paid sick leave Paid federal holidays $200/month gas stipend Duties Get both children up, dressed, and ready for the day Make and clean up from breakfast for both children and lunch for the youngest Drive the oldest child to and from school Care for the 3-year-old during the day, including taking her to activities (playgroups, story time, dance, swim class, etc.) and planning fun outings such as parks and playgrounds Provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment with age-appropriate activities Light child-related housekeeping, including cleaning up toys, dishes, and messes made throughout the day Children's laundry as time permits Qualifications Prior experience caring for young children CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification before starting Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable personal vehicle with room for two car seats (car seats provided) Current auto insurance Non-smoker Personal and professional references required Reliable, punctual, patient, and engaging About Our Family I am a single mother with primary custody of my two girls. Our family lives on Fort Belvoir. I work on Fort Belvoir, so I will be away from the home but close by in case of emergencies or illnesses. My oldest will be starting kindergarten this year, and my youngest enjoys going out and exploring each day.
