Immediate A private family in McLean, VA, is seeking a warm, energetic, and experienced Weekend Nanny to provide attentive care for an active toddler boy. The ideal candidate is nurturing, safety-conscious, physically active, and comfortable supporting the family's established Montessori-based routines and approach to childcare. This role requires someone who is highly engaged, dependable, and comfortable accompanying the family to synagogue, events, outings, and other weekend activities. Main Responsibilities Provide attentive, hands-on care and close supervision throughout the weekend Maintain a safe environment while encouraging age-appropriate exploration and independence Change diapers and assist with hygiene and toileting routines Heat and serve prepared meals and snacks according to family instructions Assist with bathing, dressing, and general personal care Spend significant time outdoors with the child, weather permitting Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that support development, curiosity, and independence Reinforce Montessori practices and routines used in the child's home-schooling environment Accompany the family to synagogue, outings, family events, and activities Take primary responsibility for supervising the child during outings and events Maintain consistency with the parents' routines, expectations, and childcare approach Keep the child's immediate areas, belongings, and supplies neat and organized Communicate clearly with parents regarding meals, activities, routines, and any concerns Required Qualities Warm, nurturing, patient, and engaging High energy with strong physical stamina Highly safety-conscious and attentive Dependable and punctual Proactive and observant Flexible and easygoing Comfortable spending significant time outdoors Able to follow established family routines and parenting preferences Friendly and professional Works well with others Strong work ethic Qualifications Strong professional experience caring for toddlers Montessori experience or familiarity preferred Experience with diapering, bathing, dressing, and age-appropriate toddler care Comfortable supervising children during outings, family events, and synagogue attendance Strong understanding of toddler safety and developmental needs Excellent communication skills with parents Strong professional references Legally authorized to work in theUnited States Pay:
