Position Length:

Approximately 6 months, through early May 2027 A warm and welcoming Seattle family is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and dependable full-time Nanny to care for their newborn. This is a six-month position beginning in mid-November and continuing through early May. This is the family's first child, and they are looking for someone who is truly confident and experienced with newborns. The ideal nanny is calm, attentive, proactive, and knowledgeable about infant development and enjoys creating a loving, consistent routine as a baby grows.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 9:00 AM

•4:00 PM Approximately 35 hours per week Consistent schedule through early May 2027 Must be able to commit to the full six-month position

Key Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate newborn care Manage bottles, feeding, burping, diapering, and daily infant routines Follow and help maintain age-appropriate nap and feeding schedules Support healthy sleep habits and developmental milestones Incorporate tummy time, reading, walks, sensory play, and other age-appropriate activities Wash and sanitize bottles and feeding supplies Handle baby laundry and light tidying related to the child Keep the nursery and baby's areas clean, organized, and well-stocked Track bottles, naps, diapers, and important updates as needed Communicate openly and consistently with the parents as the baby's needs and routines evolve

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 3-5 years of professional childcare experience Strong hands-on newborn and infant experience Knowledge of infant development, feeding, sleep, and age-appropriate milestones Warm, patient, calm, and nurturing Proactive and comfortable taking initiative Dependable and able to commit through early May Excellent communication skills CPR/First Aid certified or willing to certify Able to provide strong professional childcare references Comfortable with legal, on-the-books employment
