Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Childcare Aide/Float to join our child care center. In this vital role, you will provide attentive supervision and nurturing care to children across various classroom settings, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment. As a float, you will support multiple small groups and staff members, stepping in where needed to maintain smooth daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance following established policies and techniques Support teachers with lesson planning, activity setup, and classroom organization to foster a stimulating learning environment Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including child supervision at all times Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily updates Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers Skills Willingness to complete background check, certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid), mandated reporter, and other required trainings upon hire. Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Ability to work flexibly across different groups as needed, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork Prior experience nannying or babysitting young children is beneficial; familiarity with toddler care and infant care is highly valued Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children thrive! Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 35.0 per week
