Job Description

Overview We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic team member to support a safe and engaging environment for children during before and after school care hours. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, helping maintain structure, and creating a positive experience for families. Hours would be 7:30am-9:30am and 4:15pm-6:15pm Monday-Friday Responsibilities Supervise children during before and after school care programs Support a safe, welcoming, and organized environment Lead age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment opportunities Assist with arrival, dismissal, transitions, and daily routines Encourage positive behavior and respectful interactions Communicate effectively with families, staff, and children Follow all safety procedures, site policies, and program guidelines Help maintain clean and orderly program spaces Qualifications Experience working with children in a school, childcare, recreation, or similar setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient, attentive, and organized in a busy environment Reliable and punctual with the ability to work scheduled part-time hours Comfortable supervising groups of children with care and professionalism Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with others Preferred Skills Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities Experience with behavior support and positive guidance techniques First aid or CPR certification Background in education, childcare, or youth programming What We Offer A supportive and team-oriented work environment Meaningful work that helps children start and end their school day positively Part-time scheduling with consistent weekday hours Opportunities to build experience in youth care and program support Additional Information This position requires professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for all children and families.
