Non-Medical and no Caregiver experienced required. Your are spending time with kids that have a disability and making an impact! Mission Respite is looking for awesome individuals to hang out with children that have special needs. If you're reliable and love making kids smile, this might be perfect for you. It's part-time, pays $16-20 per hour, and you'll get paid weekly. Also, opportunities to grow position within the company. Mission Respite helps match Respite Companions and Children based on their interests, locations and personalities. Locations available : Waukesha County What is a Respite Companion? Non-Medical Respite Companions get paid to spend time with a child that has a disability ie. autism, down syndrome etc. Respite Companions give the parents of the child much needed time off and connect with a child to make a positive difference in their life. Responsibilities Engage with and supervise the child with special needs during respite care sessions. Foster a safe and nurturing environment conducive to the child's well-being. Encourage and participate in recreational activities tailored to the child's interests and abilities. Maintain open communication with the child's family and/or caregivers regarding their specific needs and preferences. Make a meaningful connection and make a difference in a child's life. Requirements Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build rapport with children. Dependability and reliability are essential for this role. Must pass background checks and screenings as required. Pay & Benefits Pay range: $16 - $20 per hour.
