The Pastor is to work cooperatively with all boards and committees, communicating effectively with each one and as a whole. The pastor shall seek to enlist people as followers of Christ, preach the gospel, administer the sacraments, visit the sick and those in need, take responsibility for all services of public worship, and administer the activities of the church in cooperation with various boards and committees. It is preferable, but not mandatory of the Pastor to oversee the office duties of the church with the primary function of preparing the weekly church bulletin.

• Prepare and conduct the weekly/special worship services, deliver spiritual sermon that preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our Lord, and administer the Sacraments of Communion and Baptism.
• Lead and oversee Holy Marriages and Funerals as requested
• Participate in fellowship after services in Trowbridge Community hall
• Be available for committee meetings and personal conferences
• Participate in adult Sunday school if required
• Lead Saturday morning breakfast, 1st Saturday/month September through April
• Lead weekly bible studies
• Lead the congregation in Evangelism and Church growth
• Assist in developing and delivering outreach programs
• Care for the general spiritual life of the congregation and the sick and/or shut-ins of the congregation
• 20 to 22 hours per week
• In Church office, preferably Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 to 12:00
• Preferred to prepare weekly Sunday and special event bulletins Additional Compensation
• Social security offset if required
• Pastors mileage compensation
• On sight parsonage or housing allowance negotiable within total compensation package
• 2 to 3 weeks vacations per year
• 5 days personal/sick leave per year
• 1 year renewable contracts

About Oracle Union Church:

Oracle Union Church is a house of worship for people who represent various denominations; therefore, the church does not ask members to subscribe to a formal creed but accepts into its fellowship all those who desire to join in the corporate worship of God, to hear His words for us, to pray for ourselves and others, to partake of the Lord's Supper, to be involved in other sacraments, to enjoy fellowship, and to grow spiritually in the Christian faith. We seek to obey the instructions of our Lord, Jesus Christ, by service and example and to be reconciled to God and one another. The 70 seat Church, built in 1901 is listed in the National Historic registry, and has an average weekly attendance of 40 people. Adjacent to the church is a community hall and available parsonage

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree from accredited College/University
• Divinity degree from an accredited seminary or theological graduate school
• Currently ordained or a pending ordination after acceptance of the pastorate.
