About the Campus Pastor The Campus Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership, health, and growth of a Wellspring campus. This role leads the campus in alignment with Wellspring s mission, vision, and values while focusing on moving people through the discipleship pathway. The Campus Pastor owns the Growing and Going stages of the pathway and leads the campus to reach people, build community, and multiply leaders. The Campus Pastor s responsibilities include: As a vital leader within the Multisite team, you will work closely with the Pastor of Discipleship. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Spiritual Leadership Model a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus. Provide pastoral leadership to the campus through presence, care, and visibility. Lead key moments such as baptisms, prayer, and pastoral care. Campus Leadership (Primary - 70%)
Focus:
Growing & Going Lead the campus to move people into small groups, community, and spiritual growth. Drive evangelism, outreach, and local engagement. Build and lead volunteer teams across all ministries. Create a strong lobby culture and first impressions environment. Recruit, develop, and multiply leaders. Discipleship Oversight (Primary - 30%) Oversee execution of Rooted, small groups, and spiritual development systems. Ensure alignment with central discipleship strategy. Partner with the Multisite Director to maintain consistency across campuses. Weekend Experience Leadership Own execution of weekend services at the campus. Ensure alignment with central teaching, creative direction, and experience standards. Lead teams to create excellent, engaging environments. Staff & Team Leadership Build a culture of ownership, fun, and excellence. Lead, coach, and develop campus staff and key volunteers. What you bring The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the
Campus Pastor:
Education and Experience Education - Standard College degree preferred or 3+ years of ministry experience as a staff member or key volunteer.
Ministry & Leadership Experience:
Candidates must have a proven ability to build teams and grow ministries along with high relational intelligence and leadership capacity. The core of the role revolves around building, sustaining, and leading teams rather than creating a new vision, as the church s DNA is already established.
Communication Experience:
They must be a capable communicator who is comfortable speaking on a microphone in front of large groups.
Cultural Fit:
They must be flexible, collaborative, and excited to work in a fast-paced, multi-service environment. The ideal candidate will have wisdom and personality bringing stability to the new campus while appealing to a wide range of people. Qualifications Strong pastoral calling and leadership gifting Proven ability to build teams and grow ministries High relational intelligence and leadership capacity Alignment with Wellspring s culture and pathway Flexible, collaborative, and excited to be part of a fast-paced, multi-service church environment. Comfortable speaking on a mic in front of large groups of people.
Physical requirements:
Constant periods of sitting and repetitive motions. Occasionally Able to lift or move up to 20lbs and standing or walking.
