Job Description
This is a Co-vocational role. Role Overview The Youth Pastor at Centerpoint Baptist Church Salida Ca is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing a comprehensive ministry for students in grades 6-12. The primary goal is to partner with parents to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, grounded in the Word of God.

Core Responsibilities Discipleship & Teaching:
Prepare and deliver biblically sound, age-appropriate lessons for weekly youth gatherings (Sunday School, Midweek, etc.) that align with Southern Baptist doctrine.Leadership Development:
Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of adult volunteers to serve as mentors and small group leaders.Mission & Outreach:
Plan local outreach events and annual mission trips (domestic or international) to foster a heart for the Great Commission.Pastoral Care:
Provide biblical counseling and support to students and their families during crises or significant life transitions.Parental Partnership:
Equip and communicate regularly with parents, recognizing them as the primary discipleship influencers in their children's lives.Administration:
Manage the youth ministry budget, maintain a calendar of events, and ensure all safety and background check protocols are strictly followed.Qualifications & Requirements Spiritual Maturity:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects the biblical qualifications of a leader (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).Doctrine:
Unwavering commitment to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies, Youth Ministry, or a related field is preferred (Seminary training or progress toward a degree is a plus) but not required.Experience:
Experience in youth ministry or related.Relatability:
