Part Time Schedule:
Flexible schedules of 10 or 15 hours per week. Workdays vary depending on the assigned schedule.Schedule Options Below:
Sun, Tues, Thurs Tues, Thurs, Fri Sun, Tues, Fri Sun, Thurs, Fri Employees will be expected to be available for one of these schedules. In addition to their regular assigned schedule, employees will be expected to work a different day once per month to support program needs, special events, or staff coverage as well as quarterly staff training. This position supports the mission of New Life Church by creating a welcoming, safe, and Christ-centered environment for families. The Support Staff team member is a high-energy, self-starting, and adaptable team player who is passionate about serving families and helping create an environment where kids and families can thrive. This position will support the overall work of Family Ministries, with a particular focus on Kids Ministry. This role requires a teachable spirit, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. Staff members must be flexible, dependable, relational, and able to work well with a variety of personalities and ministry needs.Duties and Responsibilities:
Create a welcoming, Christ-centered, engaging, energetic, and orderly environment where kids experience God's love through God's Word, worship response, play, and meaningful connections in developmentally appropriate settings. Teach or assist in classrooms during midweek and weekend services (Tuesday evenings, Thursday mornings, and Sunday mornings or Friday nights) by preparing and leading lessons and activities. Build strong and trusting relationships with kids and families through warm interactions at all times. Maintain safe, clean, organized classrooms and shared ministry spaces. Support the Family Ministries Team with lesson and worship response preparation, room setup, special projects, and major ministry events (e.g., Family Nights, Kids Camp, Desperation Conference, etc.). Collaborate with Family Ministries staff to foster unity and shared purposes, inspiring, equipping, and supporting volunteers, and parents in the spiritual growth of the kids entrusted to or care. Follow ministry policies and procedures, complete required training, attend team meetings, communicate schedule changes promptly, and fulfill assigned shifts. Remain flexible by assisting with additional ministry needs and cross-coverage as requested, with schedules provided at least one month in advance.
